Week 37
We had a great time in Chicago visiting with everyone! On both flights people remarked afterward that they didn't even know there was a baby behind them. Daddy's driving Aunt Colleen's jeep home as I, or my lovely secretary, type. When Mommy flew home with me yesterday, as the plane was landing I started to fuss a bit (for the first time, I might mention) and she joked that I was free to cry all I wanted now that we landed, she was just happy I didn't start an hour before. Everyone around us on the plane laughed and said what a good baby I was.

Anywho, onto the good stuffs.

Me and Aunt Colleen having a morning chat.

Grandpa joined in...

Oopsy baby...I mean daisy. Daddy is giving everyone baby-holding lessons.

The whole family: Uncle Tim, Wrigley, Daddy, Me, Mommy, Aunt Colleen, Uncle Nick, Grandma and Grandpa.

Uncle Tim, Daddy, Mommy, Aunt Colleen, Uncle Nick, and one Cora Jane front and center.

Lest you all think I'm some alien baby who never cries, I wanted to present another Cora Jane. One not seen often, but she makes an appearance. That's okay. Mommy says there's no such thing as a perfect baby. The nearest to perfect is a well-rounded baby. And I'm well rounded to be sure! In more ways than one! Hee hee.

Playing with Uncle Tim.

And Aunt Colleen.

I've started taking a bath in the big girl tub now. No more of that baby bath in a sink stuff for me! I LURVE my bathtime!

On a more serious note, Uncle Tim and I discuss economics.

This is my favorite hat. Thanks Uncle Tim!

Me and Grandpa and Grandma took a walk around the neighborhood. Mom and Dad had hoped to escape the snow for a bit, but no such luck.

Me and Grandma.

Wow, what a kidder, that spider.

My first go at feeding myself. It was a huge, um, success may not be exactly the word. Mess might be more like it. Soon I'm sure I'll figure out the correct side of the spoon to use.

Me and Grandma and Grandpa.

Grandma seeing me off.

Hey buddy, I can peer down at the top of your head now. Look out...

See you peeps next week!

Volume XXXVI
Okay, okay! We've been super slack and we admit it!

Tomorrow we are going to Chicago to see Grandma and Grandpa! We're very excited. It's been a hectic week (heck, it's been hectic since the holidays!) and it will be nice to get away.

Mom and Dad think I was worth the wait...I think, well, anyone would be plain silly to argue with that!

Check out my two tooths! I'm a little out of season, but babies can get away with stuff like that. This is the outfit Grandpa bought right after I was born. He and Grandma were going out to dinner with friends (who, for the record, were of the understanding that I wasn't going to be born until the 21st of May, being a scheduled c-section and all) the night I was born. When Grandpa showed them this little pink outfit he'd bought that day they all said, "Well, we thought you weren't going to know if it was a boy or a girl until the baby is born!" That's when they dropped the surprise! I'd shown up early, all girly and whatnot!

I'm a sittin' fool! You fools got nothin' on me!

My Dad is a goofy one!

And lastly...Promise you won't worry 'cause everything's okay, and Mommy's thanking goodness I wasn't in daycare and was home with Daddy when she was heading home from work today so I wasn't in the car. Anyways...

Mom was going up to Daddy's work to pick up a laptop cord for our trip tomorrow. While she was heading uphill, a bus was heading down and its rear end started sliding around and ran her right into a snow bank. She just got a little bump on the noggin. And she's really glad she didn't fill the gas tank, as she'd planned on doing after she picked up the cord. Dad can't believe this jalopy made the two mile drive home! And we're feeling awfully lucky to be picking up Aunt Colleen's old Jeep Wrangler in Chicago, being one car short and all.

Well, I'll tell you all about my adventures with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Colleen and Uncle Nick, and Uncle Tim when I get back! Here is a video to keep you company while I'm gone!

PS - Mom keeps finding typos and bad noun-verb agreement. Please exuse that. She has a bit of a headache! Getting hit by a bus might do that to ya!

Thirty Four...
Hey guys! Just wanted to say hang in there with us! We've been busy as can be. Mom had one real day off of work since Christmas, and since she's my typist, we've had a rough go of being timely about things. Hopefully the dust will settle here in the next day or two and our family will enjoy a more bearable pace. Until then...

Aunt Jenny is funny!

But DAAAAAD! There's nothing in there! You drank it all!

I'm a sleepy baby!

Where's Cora?

Peek-A-Boo!

Hey, check out the rug Daddy got me for Christmas!

And the baby butt...

Well, I'll see you next week!

Last Thursday, me and Mom and Dad went to Dave and Busters. After eating, Mom and Dad decided to take a step inside the Gene Machine to see what kind of kid they'd make. Below is the result. Needless to say they're feeling really lucky that I'm so damn cute and they might be a little nervous about taking the risk again!

About A Girl

Name: Cora Jane

About Me: I'm my Mom's and Dad's kid. Apparently, they've been waiting on me for a while and didn't have the best of luck getting me here. I'm the miracle baby that hung around after my Mom had three miscarriages and then was put on bedrest at five months pregnant for fear she was losing me, too. But, now I'm here and they really dig me. I dig them, too. It's cool.
